Hi everyone! I tried the peas as a cure for constipation with my betta (his tank mate platys had some too!) and it worked very well....I think my big ol' tiger oscar would LOVE them- is it ok to feed peas just for some variety, or just as a remedy?

Peas are great for all your fish. Just make sure your meat eating fish get enough protein in their diet. I try and feed my meat eaters a veggie flake at least once a week so they don't get constipated. The veggie wafers or disks are also something you might try adding to your tank. You betta may pick at it somewhat while it sits at the bottom of the tank, and be getting his veggies at the same time!

That sounds great- I'm going to give Ozzy a pea tonight- I know he'll love it! I do also use the veggie disks (my pleco,betta, and especially my silver dollars love them!!! )
