We have an established 10g tank that is well cycled. We have had a single female molly living in it for the past 8 months. Last night we went and bought 2 new mollies to add to our tank and give our fish some friends. When we got home and got our fish into an isolation tank, they look healthy and well. We have since noticed that we got one male and one female. We are NOT interested in dealing with babies at all and are concerned. I called the
LFS where we got the fish and they said they will take the male back but said that they will just eat the babies anyway so we shouldn't worry. I'm wondering if you think we should just return the male and exchange for a female or if we should keep the guy we have.
Also, what is the best combination and number of mollies to have in a 10g tank? Will a group of 3 females get along well?
