I was just visiting the local store to get some paint and was checking out the fish department. They had some gold mollies there, and I was enchanted by them. I usually just breed bettas, but I do have a 10 gallon that contains just two loach kuhlis and a striped fish that my oldest brother gave me. He doesn’t know what kind of fish it is, and neither do I. I will post pictures if necessary. Anyways, I haven’t boughten any mollies yet. Do you think I could buy maybe 3 or 4 of them to put in the 10 gallon?

You are very lucky if they were golden mollies. Not the orange type, right? The really gold-colour type? Definitely special here in The Netherlands anyway. Never saw them in our LFS's.

If you do buy them, please buy at least 3 females to 1 male, or the male will get really stressful for the ladies, to the point of killing them in extreme cases. Also make sure you have plenty of hiding spots for the females (yep, to hide from the male's ardour).

10 G should be fine for 4 mollies.

Oh, and they are really sociable (with me, I mean). They are nosy, and will greet me when I come back home. They'll eat from my hand. They'll swim and rub between my fingers. Really nice personality (male's raping habits aside...).
