Mollies and currents

Are mollies ok with currents? You see, i want my 32g tank's filter to run as it shoulod, without media stopping the flow, as i think it will end up burning the motor. So i was gonna go with just a school of danios... but ive taken a liking into Sailfin Mollies...
Would they be alright with current? i can rescacape so the plants can slow it down just a little...
thanks guys

Hello Tony. I think the mollies would be fine.

ooo Sailfins are beautiful! I have a male who loves playing in the double bubble wand, so I imagine a current would be just as fun for them.

I used to have an internal filter in one of my tanks and my molly fry loved to swim against the current into the filter and let the current push them back out.

Additionally in nature Molly's are often found in estuaries and I would imagine that there's a pretty good current in those areas.

So I wouldn't worry. Enjoy the Mollies, they're my fav's.

Yes Mollies are very stong fish I have found. Not as fragile as say a betta.
