Hello Fish Lover and Welcome to Fish Lore. There is a good chance your Molly was pregnant when you bought her. They are live bearers and not egg layers. Most live bearers give birth every 28 to 40 days. Sorry, I'm not sure what type of molly it is but I'm sure others can help.
Best of luck for some healthy fry.

hi fishlover, welcome to fishlore! one way to check if your mollie is pregnant is to look for a gravid spot which is a black spot by the anal fin.

i think your mollie might be a golden sunset mollie ill post a pic of one and you can tell me if im right.

If she looks like she swallowed a rectangular box, that's a pretty darn good sign that she is pregnant. Mine are at all different stages of pregnancy (and some are just fat ), but when they look like a rectangle, that's when they're about to pop babies. Congrats if she is!

How Do I: Attach Pictures to my post

When I first joined, I was always going here: http://www.fishlore.com/fishforum/search.php and then searching within that thingy for answers to my questions. No worries, though, I definitely haven't learned everything on this forum, either!
