im desperate for advice!! please help!

hi everyone.when i woke up this morning before i went to school my female marble mollie (speckles is her name) was resting on the bottom of my tank and would everyonce and a while swim to the top. i didnt think much of this but now i do. she is layying on the bottom of the tank (layying uprite that is) with a little bit of a tilt. my water parameters are perfect. nitrite 0 amonia 0 pH 7.2 and nitrates 20. i just did a water change hoping it would help. as some of you know about a month ago she had her first batch of fry. could this be the second? she didnt get very big for the first batch but her middle of her stomach got a lot more black all over (i think this is a gravid spot? not sure. the spot was pretty big though) and now shes like this again.

please help me. i dont know whats wrong and im really worried/scared for speckles.

ill take any ideas as to what this is.

i found the problem... i dont know how i couldve missed it. (ohh and my nitrates are 40 but i just did a water change so that should help sorry bout that i got confused) speckles has a hole under her moth. theres a flap of skin that was oviously kind of ripped off... i dont know how this happened i just wish i could do something for her. shes not looking so good right now... is there anything i can do?

I'm sorry Speckles isn't feeling well.
I don't know enough about live bearers to advise whether she's holding or not.
Are there any decorations she could have hurt her self on?
Do you have the correct ratio of males to female?

theres nothing she could have hurt herself on. i have one male mollie besides her. im pretty sure the correct ratio is 2 females to every 1 male. ive never seen him really bother her at all. most of the time whenever i look at my tank there mating. they seem to get along really well. it is possible that when i was sleeping or when i was at school that they would have had a fight but i doubt it. there just such calm fish.

We never know what happens once we turn the lights out, so it's possible.
At this point, keep her water pristine to prevent infection. You might want to Q her so she doesn't get pucked on being that she seems weakened.

+2 on the QT.
So sorry she isnt feeling well

It is said that mollies also have gravid spots, though some arent visible on darker colored mollies. So your's might have had the gravid spot.
What are the other tankmates? There is a possibility that the male was chasing her around and she could have run into something that could have injured her. Like lucy said, keep her water as clean as possible as this is critical for her recovery
Good luck!
please keep us updated

thanks for your replys guys. she is still resting but she goes to the top sometimes still and swims perfectly normally. she seems to be panting. its been 4 weeks since she had her last fry and mollies can hold sperm for a while. do you think she might be in labor? i wasnt here when she gave birth last time so i dont know. any ideas on the labor idea would be helpful. i doubt it but its worth a guess

it would explain why she's resting. Does she seem fat?

She could very well be ready to have babies again. Most of my mollies drop fry on a regular monthly basis. Is she kind of squared off on the back side of her belly? If she is then it is about time. Keep her water extra extra clean for her injuries and to get the nitrates down that will help her and the babies if she is about to drop them.

hey guys. im pretty sure she was pregnant but she didnt make it past last night

she was working so hard just to breath that im glad she died peacefully.

ill miss speckles.

i just wish she wouldve had those fry before she passed so she woould continue to go on in alot of other tanks. at least her gene pool will go on in my tank once the one fry i couuld save is big enough not to be eaten
