I have 1 M and 2 F mollies...I added them back to their tank a week ago. The mollies are my second set. The original 2 mollies I had died mysteriously, sadly. Anyway, the first mollies I had (1 M, 1 F) the male was constantly chasing the female to mate. I mean constantly. With the new 3, I haven't seen the male show any interest in either of the females. They kinda follow him around but he just doesn't seem interested. What could be wrong? Or are they just waiting till the lights go down?

One of the mollies just had fry so she may have a headache but the male isn't even trying.

Hello Myfishkies...chances are they need to get to know each other a bit first Let them adapt and see what happens.
Congrats on the new additions. Sorry you had some losses.

i agree with the above statements. at first when i added a new female mollie to join my male mollie they showed no interest in each other but now they try to breed constantly. its like whenever i look in the tank there trying to breed. i bet your mollies will breed, it just takes time like it did with mine

Thank you everyone. I think I didn't pay close attention when I got the first two so it was probably the same then too. I'll be patient. And I'll stop staring at them.
