Fry problems

okay, i have a serious fry issue. i have a batch of molly (well, 1 molly fry survived out a a batch of 13) fry that were born around late Feb or early March and he isn't even an inch long yet. surely at 14-18 weeks he should be at at least one inch long.

how big are mollies supposed be at at 18 weeks old? at what age do they reach 1 inch?

is there a chance he has a stunted growth?

and final question, is there a way to speed up growth? say if he had a larger tank or a higher temperature, would that work?

he is currently in a 7 gallon tank set to 80F with a pH of 7-7.5. i am yet to check the nitrite, nitrate and ammonia levels because i lost my test kits a while back.

thanks

I am trying to help you, but i may have the wrong facts. I hope not. Okay, I had a batch of 15-17 molly fry born in February. I have given all away but 2 females. They are about the size of a small female guppy, maybe 9/10 of an inch long. I know this because my male guppies try to mate with them.

If the tank that they bare in is too small, it may be stunting their growth. Mollies need a minimum (I think) of ten gallons to grow properly.

oh, okay. i should have a spare 15 gallon tank soon for a grow out tank. should that be good.

but i just don't get why mine aren't growing. i have a friend who had a batch of mollies and guppies at around the same time as mine and they are near adult size. the tank she kept them in was an overstocked 10-15 gallon tank.
