I am new to this board and I have a lyre tail black female molly who gave birth last spring. About a week ago I noticed that she was looked pregnant and over the past few days she has gone from swimming around the tank, to sitting on a log and struggling to get to the top, almost top heavy to now only being on the bottom of the tank and not being able to get up. She seems to be flapping her front fins alot almost like she is trying to take off but only seems to go around in a circle. She is eating but not swimming to get the food. She is in a tank now by herself. Do pregnant mollies just sit on the ground when they get too heavy or do they swim? It has been now about 4 days of not swimming.

What are your water parameters? It could be ammonia issues. It's difficult to identify without pictures as well. Also is she bloated/scales sticking out.
Unfortunately without your water parameters (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate) I can't really help. My first guess is a build up of ammonia though, what other fish are in the tank with her? Are they acting off also?
