I just got 2 potbellied mollies yesterday. They seemed fine and were swimming around and active until today. They are floating at the top corner and won't eat the floating flake food or freeze dried blood worms i gave them. They did swim around a little bit but not very much. I also have 6 other mollies in the tank, 42 gallon, and a peppered cory catfish who are all fine and eating well. Do potbellies prefer different food or are they more picky eaters? They just put it in their mouths and spit it back out.

Ive never heard of "potbellied mollies" and im sure others have...but knowing what your ammonia , nitrite, and nitrate readings is going to be something to start from..do you know them? allot of the time fish are at the top, its an ammonia issue ...

potbellied mollies are the same as balloon mollies.
the water readings are all fine, they just don't seem to
like any of the food??when everyone else does...

when you say fine, what are they? LOL its very unlike mollies of any kind to not eat..what are you feeding them? not that it usually makes a difference with mollies.....usually when that happens, we start to look at a mini cycle or something wrong with their water ...
