Anyone have a 61/2 inch dalmation mollie???

Ok- I started with a goldfish in dec 08- graduated to a 20 gal in jan 09 with 7 fish- 4 mollies, 3 platys...now have a 50 + the 20 + 10 + 5 ....now have the original 7 + 44 babies in the different sized tanks. I wasn't plannin on the babes but... does anyone have a 6 1/2 inch mollie?? Is it unusual that they get this big?

No, but I want one! That would be so cool. I had a dalmation that got to be about 5 inches. I sold my tank a few years ago and she went with it. They say sail fins can get to 6-8 inches but I've never seen one even doing google searches for things like "giant molly. There are also Yucatan mollies that get really big. I don't know if sailfins can be dalmations but that would be really pretty.

I'm jealous. You must be taking really good care of your fishies to keep them so happy. Please post a pic if you have one

They told me at the petstore it was a dalmation mollie (molly). Have pics but am new to this so will have to work on getting them uploaded or downloaded?? lol to here tomorrow. That does include the tail. His name but could be her name (they told me how to differenciate but still don't get it) is Gandalf!! This is why I keep buying aquariums. What do people do with the surviving fry When they get big enough to swim around...I can't bear to part with them. I am not trying to breed anybody but my fishies just keep having babies!!! In my 50 gal which is definately on the border of being overpopulated...I just saw 7 new molly babies from somebody!!! I love them all but don't think I can keep up with my growth rate. HELP
