this is very normal, it'll take a little while to get all of them out of her. You should be prepared to give some away, mollies average anywhere between 5 - 30 young in one litter

larger females can give birth to more than 120 fry, but over about a week. how many fry has it given birth to now. i know someone who had 2 females that gave birth to about 70 fry.

I guess thats all she had in her. It is possible for some livebearers to birth as little as only 1 fry to as many as 120 fry. I guess thats all she had in her. If you want more fry, you'll have to wait for the next round. (Remember, females can store the male's sperm for about 2-3 months, so if there is no male around, she could still give birth)

Thanks for your help. She is starting to get really fat again already, so hoping I will get more than two in the next batch. BTW the two little guys are doing great in their own 10 gallon tank. My fiance named them Phillip & Jay (from futurerama) Philip J Fry!

Haha good name choice.

Good luck with the future fish-kids, but don't let it get out of hand like I did. I started off with 2 Male and 2 Female Platies, now I got around 9 of their kids running around my tank! I gotta find them some homes or my tanks gonna boil over pretty soon.
