I have a group of mollies that are about 3 months of age. I have 2 males, 5 females, and one little bugger that's still questionable.

Already I have a male who chases the females around the tank nosing at their bellies. I would think they are much too young to begin breeding already. Is he just curious, or practicing? Or is he just an agressive fish?

How many more months should I expect to wait to see some pregnant females? We got them with every intention of breeding, and are very much looking forward to seeing our babies have babies of their own!

he may be trying to breed with her because as early as it sounds 3 months is the age they start. please make sure you have plans on what to do with the babies or your tank will either become overstocked or the babies will all be eaten. good luck

Yep, we've already got plants in there for the fry to hide in, and a fish store that's short on suppliers!

Wow, I never would have guessed that they'd be sexually mature at such a young age. And they still have so much growing to do!

Around three months they start to breed, I think it's when they reach their full size at least. Good luck!

around three months they breed? mine are about 14-15 weeks and still not even an inch long!?
