Are they pregnant???

Hi all,

I have attached photo's of my tank and some of my fish (swordtail, black molly and guppy). Please assist me. Are these fish preg or not? The swordtail has a whitish clear "mess-like" thread coming out for 2 nights now. The guppy has been "swollen" for about 3 weeks now.

The guppy def looks pregnant, the swords not so much.
A whitey thread is usually an indication of parasites or worms, not pregnancy.

Oh, and nice looking tank!

Good morning. The guppy in the background looks a bit plump and may have a gravid spot. (dark place behind the anal fin) The others don't appear to be expecting.

Hello 2lucky,

Thx for comments. My tank is not complete. I am in the process of putting in some driftwood, more amazon and java fern. Wonder if it would be a good idea to put in more fish It might be the MFS (more fish syndrome) just like the MTS hahaha

Ithink that the guppy is pregnant, and the swordtail might be too (if you can see the light gravid spot in top left photo) but you will have to wait for 1 more week just to be sure. Good luck
