My gran has just had a fry of 24 mollies and when she is crumpling the food up for them and feeding them they don't seem to be eating any of it. Is this a worry. She has bought fry food but when she puts it into their breeding net it sinks to the botttom and the other fish she has in her tank suck it through the minute holes in the net?

They may be eating some of it but fry have very tiny mouths. Their tummies are also the size of their eyes. It would only take a speck to fill them. It would take a very fine ground food for them to be able to eat it and then 24 of them would probably only eat a VERY small amount. Butterfly mentioned one time, I believe that she would take her finger and just dip the tip in the food and swirl the powder into the water and it was enough for her angel fry and there were more than 24 of them. So maybe one of the girls who have had fry will come in and tell you how they fed theirs.
