Mollies.... cannibals?

I was wondering if mollies tend to eat eachother...

I came home one day to find that one of my 6 mollies were gone. It was a white dalmation molly and it was to be found nowhere in the tank. I freaked out and thought someone had stolen it or something. Then I checked in the filter to see if it was sucked up. I closely examined the sand floor and found no carcass or any remains of a fishy. I also checked under the decorations as well as in them, but couldn't find it anywhere.

The molly was actually very dominant... could the others possibly have teamed up and annihilated it? Or is something extraterrestrial-ly going on in there? Also, I feed them often so I don't think they would be hungry for molly.

They will certainly eat each other if one dies, and they will also eat their own fry. Maybe it died of natural causes and the other fish in the tank 'disposed' of the carcass.

I don't think it could have died of natural causes. It would always be the first to the top when it was feeding time, and I didn't observe anything wrong with it. It was very healthy and active. Hmm... -scared of my fish-

After doing a thorough cleaning of the tank and the decorations, she was nowhere to be found. I dunno where she could have got to

I even checked behind the dresser I keep the aquarium on and she wasn't down there.

if they jump out sometimes they can hop quite a distance before they expire, can't imagine what else could have happened to it in such a short time
