interracial couple possible?

Ihave a 10 gallon tank with two male guppies and a male black molly and a female lyretial. Can my black molly and lyretail mate? we have had it for over a month and at first he was all over her but then she has not gotten any bigger, she is kind of bulky to start with, no gravid spot etc. I dont want to look for babies forever if they are not capable of mating.

The pet store only carries male guppies so people dont accidently get more than they bargained for. I dont know their policy on mollies but this is definately a female and definately a male black molly.

Thanks.

i'm pretty sure that they can breed, actually i'm almost positive. if you notice the gravid spot and then see her squared off then she's pregnant. also, mollies and guppies can interbreed, and so can platies and swordtails, so you may end up with a few "muppies"

Having read some of the posts in other areas I think she may have aborted soon after we got her. When I was re-arranging some plants after we got her I noticed a gelatinous blog like a little jellyfish in one of the plants. I guess the clock starts over. She is quite a bit bigger than the males and they dont seem to be trying to get at her anymore. Has she intimidated them or is this an indicator that she has a bun, (or fry) in the oven?
