When will my black mollie have it's baby's?

Ok, I have a black mollie that I have got 3 - 3 1/2 weeks ago. Ever since we've got it, it seemed like it was big around it's stomach area. My mom told me it could be pregnant. I just thought it was it's shape.

Over time, the stomach area got alot bigger, and it is now more boxed than round. It's been like this for a good amount of time, yet it still has yet to give birth (if it is pregnant). When will it happen?

Also, the mollie loves hiding in this rock like cave structure I bought, is that normal?

Hope you don't mind, I moved your thread to a more appropriate section of the forum.
I'm sorry I can't answer your question, I don't have livebears but someone will be along to help you.

Good luck.

Mollies

It normally takes around 28 days before she will give birth. I just had 21 sword tail babies this morning. I wasn't expecting them for another week. I would try a breeder tank if you have other types of fish in your set-up even though most people are against using them on mollies. It is much easier to separate the fry, it took me and my wife 3 hours to catch the baby sword tails this morning, and we had to take 7 fish and 2 frogs out so the fry wouldn't get eatin before we moved them to another tank. If you only have mollies they generally won't eat their fry.
