Woke up to fry. In my excitement I gathered up what I could find and put them in a nursery. Common sense chimed in and I realized I need to let Mother Nature take her course. I poured the fry back into the tank.
In the tank I have 1 black molly female, 1 platy female, 1 female swordtail, and 2 otocinclus of unknown gender. I have observed 3 different looking fry. The first is a solid white that tends to stay near the surface of the water. Second is a solid black fry that lies on the bottom due to egg yolk limiting it's movement. Third is an all black fry with a white tip on its tail. None are formed and all are stillborn. Can they all be from the same female?

Did she just decide to give birth to EVERYTHING she had in her? Like a massive evacuation?

Could one female giving birth inspire another to give birth?
Lots of undeveloped/stillborn fry all over the bottom of the tank. Will need to vacuum.
