No Babies!!!

So. I discovered that my mollies are called Gold Dust Mollies. One is male, one is female. I really don't want any baby fishies swimming around, but at the same time I don't want to take them back to Wal-Mart. I was there today and walked by the fish section... There were like 6 dead mollies in there! I will feel really bad taking one, or both of them back. Advice? P.s. They chase each other around ALL DAY [playfully]. I'm assuming this is some form of a mating ritual. Sigh.

Yep, you are most likely correct.
They are very happy with their new home, and to show it they will start making babies. How big is your tank? Maybe it wouldn't be so bad to have some babies. Of course, you will end up with a population explosion, but it is nice to find little babies swimming around and to watch them grow and have babies of their own. Are you sure you don't want babies?

Wait... Isn't that mean? To let the fish eat the babies? I'm a borderline animal activist... But I do understand the importance of the circle of life.

I guess you could say its mean but its natural behaviour

Oh. Well in that case. I guess its better than letting them die in the tank at Wal-Mart. Thanks!

That is rather disturbing even though there isn't anything unnatural about it. I guess as long as you don't see it happening though its probably more bearable.
