Ok, I have a dalmation molly. It has the sail fin molly's stripes, and a dalmation molly's spots. The stripes are rust color. Is that a normal coloration?

I am not sure, my molly fry have rust spots, it must be cool looking. I would not worry, have fun with your molly.

My Dalmatians don’t have any stripes either. I’m sure yours look real pretty... please post a pic? They are such friendly fish! Mine welcomes all the new fish I put in the aquarium...so cute!

Dalmation mollies often have orange and/or rust colored markings on them. It's nothing to worry about. I love dalmation mollies, they are beautiful fish.

I wasn't worried, I didn't know dalmation mollys were that color. They're not spot thought. They're stripes, look closely at a sailfin molly. Sailfins have vertical stripes, but they are hard to see.
