can i keep my fry in a separate tank?

My Molly fish that I purchased the other day had 3 fry. I currently have them in a breeder. They dont seem happy because I'm worried that if I put a plant in there for them to hide in, it will weigh down the breeder and make the babies easy to get to.

I have a goldfish starter tank, which is about 10g. I was thinking of providing the tank with plants and such, and housing them in there until they are big enough for the big tank. The mother keeps staring at the babies, and even though they are in a breeder, Im concered she will try to get them.

Is the separate tank a good idea?
(the big tank is 29g)

P.s. I have my filter on in the big tank, and was thinking a tank with no filter would be better for the new fry.

Would that be a good idea?

no filter is ok if your changing the water daily, a seperate tank is fine and it will keep them alive, but unless you use a filter and cycle the tank youll have to change the water everyday.
