I have a Black Molly. He swims around, but when I come to watch, he hides behind the filter of heater! So when I feed my aquarium, he hides and I don't see him eat. How can I stop him from being afraid of humans?

Most humans would cower if something several hundred times larger than themselves suddenly approached.

Approach the tank slowly and while close to the tank don't make any sudden movements.
Over time, this should calm the fish down.

Also don't forget, if he's new to the tank and by himself or with other species of fish, he'll be kinda shy.. if your tank has enough space for you to add maybe two female platties, you'll see a lot more of him.
