Mollies agressive to each other?!?

So, my 10 gallon cycled a few days ago... I started out by moving my two cory cats into the tank.

Well, yesterday, I picked up a couple silver mollies. Got them home and acclimated to the tank and added them. Unfortunately, one did not even last four hours.

So today, I went back to the store and got a replacement molly. Again, acclimated him to the tank, then added him in. Almost immediately the first molly started chasing him around. He really seems to have a hate on for the new molly.

Just shot a video with my new camera... Sorry about the quality:

Is this normal? They are both males. No females in the tank at all.

*sigh* I just want a nice relaxing tank with some colourful fishies who all get along well. My cory cats are super hyper, zipping up & down, back and forth, nonstop. My mollies don't get along at all. The five neons just float there, they don't do anything. The red albino sword is the only calm one in the tank!

What is the tanks population?
5 neons? 1 Sword? Mollies? Cories? It sounds like its getting overloaded?

I'd agree, but I've got a 33 gallon where some of these will be going. It's almost cycled.

Also, watching the water quality in the 10 gallon closely. I've had 0 ammonia and nitrites all week. Nitrates at 10 or under.

Hrm... Try this one.

It's a bit over 5 megs in size.

I've tried converting to a few different file types, but they all end up being huge!!!

Are they both males? That could be the problem in a small tank without a lot of shelter. The picked on molly looks very uncomfortable. Wish I could help more.

Wasn't questioning your knowledge, just trying to get some info to help. I haven't seen the video, but agree with sqrly that some livebearer males like some space or females.

Without adequate plants for the newer of the two Mollies to hide in, you'll continue to have problems with the aggressive one.. he's obviously a very territorial little fellow, which can occur even with Mollies.. and you should know the older your albino Sword gets the more aggressive he's likely to become, and unlike Mollies who'll take out their aggression on each other, Swords go after everybody unless they're bigger and badder!

Glad to hear you've a bigger tank cycling and are keeping tabs on your water quality, because as things stand you are way overloaded, and Neons tend to be more disease-prone in crowded tanks with aggressive fish( the Mollies).
