How do you know when a potbelly molly is pregnant jajajjaja they are so cute and chubby already its hard to tell??

probably, but this might become a deformity, but I hear this is not common in mollies. as for the pregancy thing, females will develop a dark spot in the rear ends of the belly and it signal the presence of young fish. It takes about 30 days for gestation time, and they can have as many as 200 young at one time.

There's a really distinct difference between a cute chubby Molly and a really pregnant Molly. They get really big and the back of their bellies square off. Also, the gravid spot will appear. (although mine are dalmation mollies, so I can't really tell! They have so many spots already!)

Yes, balloon mollies and regular mollies will mate. I hope you're ready for lot of fry!

Thanks you guys, this really helped me a lot. I've had fry befor but only 3 survived my tank. Dalmation mollies is what I had before, so sad that out of 24 i counted only 3 have survied.
