I recently did tank renovations with my 10 and 5 gallon tanks. I finished them yesterday and this morning I put 2 female mollies 1 male mollie 1 female guppy and 1 male guppy in the ten gallon tank. I have done a lot of water changes since I last put salt in the tank and even then I put very little.

1. Am I overstocking?

2. How much salt should I add for my mollies and guppies?

i'm not sure about the salt content, but i find for a 10 gallon tank 3 medium sized fish is a good amount. filler fish are also fine..but i like my fish to have lots of room, cuz i had squished them into a smaller tank before and when i moved them to a bigger one they loved it! you just don't want your fish to be too crowded.

As far as salt goes, you want it to be around .001 specific gravity, if you choose to make it brackish. Also, use marine salt rather than standard aquarium salt.
