Mollie Make Out of Control!!!

HELP!!! His Name is Batman

My male black Mollie.

Question: He has 2 female dalmation mollies in the tank with him. He is so agressibly matting with both of them! Day and Night! none stop. Is this ok for the females. One seems to be so tired of him. He chases them both so much i fear he will kill them off.

What should I do? I have no other tank to put him in and if i take him out and put him in a fish bowl will he be ok? and for how long?

i would either make lots and lots of hiding places, or sperate him with either a breeding net temporarily, or a different tank

Put in lots of live plants to the females can hide from him.
If you have the space you could add one more female

forgot to add.

i have 4 platies, and i have seen this same aggresion. as long as their are lots of blocks in sight. (so they cant see across the whole tank, as in caves, rocks, plants, anything to block a long line of view), it will help a lot

you could try a time-out.
put the agressive male in a bucket or bowl while you re-arrage the tank decor.

keep him in there for maybe a half hour, then acclimate him back in.

you could also get another female or two so he's not picking on the same two all the time.

Thank you so much. I did this last night and it worked. I changed the whole tanks look with more hiding spots and large plant to provide more hidding spots for the females. It's working.
