you may have to ask an expert on this but my thoughts are that it could have something to do with diet, have you been feedding alot of bloodworms lately.until you notice something physicly wrong with your fish i shouldn't worry too much.

your female molly will drop about 15-30 fry depending if it is her first dropping. livebearers like platy's, molly's, swordtail, etc...will eat the fry,,, so you might not see the whole bunch unless you happen to be there when they drop. I have only seen it once.
Poo color changes with what you feed them. Like the Omega flakes I have are drk orange so the poo looks orange/red/brown. Bloodworms-red poo. White, thin, stringy poo can be a symtom of dropsy.
Yes, as your female gets closer to dropping, she will hide and stay toward the bottom more. If you can give her more plants to hang out (real or fake), it will help her and the fry! Keep asking questions, it will help all of us!
Welcome btw

Neither do I. But this morning I was looking at Pattys(Pregnant female) behind, and I noticed it was getting a tad white, and opened. Now I read somewhere that this ment they were soon to give birth or something like that. Is this true?
Kra-z-fishmumm, what is dropsy. Patty must be close to dropping because she is hanging around by our plants at the bottom, and her behind is looking more open. Now I'm not sure if when her behind is more open that the fry is about to drop, because this is only my first set of fry. But it was help if I knew so I could put her in the baby tank as I call it.
Cassie, I found out that the males always chase around the females, mainly because the female is pregnant or possibly because he wants to breed.

First, yes, when you can see this little pimple head type thing on the back side, she is getting there. You could put her in the baby tank now if you want. Just before they drop that seem to go wild! hehe don't blame them.
2nd-dropsy is a internal bacterial infection that causes your fish to get 'fat', but there are other symtoms, like stringy white poo(which you can see with swim bladder too and is treated like constipation-peas), scales sticking out, loss of color, etc... I was just letting you know that white, stringy poo is a sign that something else might be up
3rd- hope all is going good! The one and only time I saw fry drop was with my first female white sailfin molly. I had just put her in the fry net and sat to watch...then bang out they came!!!! it was so cool.

Is this little pimple thing white? Because she has a white one right back there. But the thing is, she's not too big yet, you would have to see her before she was pregnant to know that she IS pregnant. It almost looks like a swollen bump on the bottom of her. But she isn't acting weird rather than staying behind a plant! I will be home all day today so I will keep an eye on her. I don't want to put her in the baby tank to soon as I have herd it makes them stressed out. And we STILL don't have the tank divider. Oh um is it only the male that will eat the babies?

sorry, yes it is white. and yes both parents will eat the fry, so once she drops, take her out. I had a molly that didn't look preg. at all and then she's behind my rock cave and like 15-20 start appearing! But, I had noticed the white pimple thing at her anal area, thought she was constipated, so I kept trying to feed her peas! lol Usually, the do this up down thing along the glass when it's close to time, may be days before, but every fish is a little different. Good Luck Let Us Know what has happened!

We changed the filter again, and this time we got a MUCH BETTER one! So the fish are swimming so much better and look very happy, but the test results have not yet come in.
