i bought this fish....it looks like a Silver molly......i bought it on an unusual store that sells cheap fishes.....and i saw this fish....with all sorts of others sail fin mollies that i'm kinda sure that they are really sail fin mollies..........then......the owner gave me this fish....and i just kinda noticed this one when i got home......it's kinda big....than the usual mollies that i knew........so...help me......is this fish a molly or what??.....and this one always picks on my black mollies........they're kinda rivals in some sort.......hehehehe.......i know i learned my lesson not to buy fishes on an unreliable source...... please help me........

i don't know much about mollies...........but there r some strange species of molllies, few days back i saw a species with small black spots on it, looked much like dalmatians but they r certainly not. they had long dorsal fins!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That fish looks like what I bought called a Pearl Molly. I Have mostly sailfins, and the pearl actually looks like a mini sailfin. I have to tell you - it is Deveil Spawn Fish as far as I am concerned. They are bullies! They chase and nip at all of the bigger mollies - I lost two of the pearls cuz I think they were acting too big for their britches (fins) and something fought back.

I just have one left - and it is full of attitude. I won't buy more, could just be a fluke that they are so nasty, but they are pretty little things.

Good luck with yours, I laughed ( sorry) when I read that yours picks on the black molly - so did mine - picked on the black sailfin, Bogey, who is the biggest and most handsome!

hehehehe....yeah....it sounds kinda funny to.......they are fighting for the inevitable title of "The King of the Aquarium"......hahahahahaha.......anyways...thanks for the info.......from now on........no pearl mollies...or what ever it is......hehehe....thanks every one....
