Thanks Shawnie! I am loving Gulliver

He is by far one of my favorites. I never thought I would see the day that I would get a fish that begs for food more than my bettas, but that day has come, lol

I am really glad I was able to give him a home. He is 7 inches, and he had been in the Petsmart tanks since we was a 2 inch baby. Poor little guy was so happy to have some more space to swim around!

And the Heckli looks awesome!!
Just some info for you if you are interested. Your S. Jurupari is not what it seems. There is only one true Jurupari and they can quickly be identified because they have no spots on the operculum (cheek gill area). Yours looks like Satanoperca Leucosticta (Guyana Jurupari is the common name, but like I said only one true Jurupari and this isn't it, lol) A great fish I currently have 6 wild ones I am growing out in hope of breeding. When it grows a bit more we will know for sure but that is what it looks like to me. Most people just call them Jurupari's. Good luck with all of them, they are all cool fish to keep.

Thanks Brian

I agree Uaru's are awesome fish. I was a little afraid that mine would get picked on, but he has a surprising amount of attitude. I ordered mine from Jeff Rapps (
www.tangledupincichlids.com) if you are looking for a good breeder.
Thanks for the info on my Jurupari, or should I say Leucosticta, lol

I had no idea that he was a different species, but he's a great fish, so it doesn't bother me. I'm glad that I have the correct identity now though, especially since
LFS tend to mis-lable fish all the time.
