Ok so I decided to try out Red Sea co2 bio system. If you don’t know what I am talking about here is the link http://www.redseafish.com/Prod229.asp I have heard mixed reviews on it. This set up is rated for tanks 40 gallons or less. This will be interesting since my tank is a 55 gallon. I plan on making a journal on this and update my results as they happen. I am hoping for the best. It’s been 24 hours since I installed it. Till next post….

40 gallons is a generous rating for those CO2 systems in my opinion. I'd go with 2 of them if you're hoping to see any appreciable result, although I ran 2 of the Hagen systems (basically the same thing) on a 55 I used to have and it didn't do much for my plants. I ended up taking them out and there was no difference.

Update
well the reactor started bobbling today = a good thing. I put the co2 unit on a timer. I set it to come on one hour before lights come on, and to shut off one before lights out. Not much else to report from here. Till next time
