| Marineland Excellent Customer Service I recently started a new 30 gallon freshwater tank with a Marineland Eclipse 3 filtration/illumination system. I really like how neat everything looks as the hood includes the filtration system, bio-wheel, and lights.
I have read great things about Marineland's customer service when I was doing research on this forum, and I thought it was great, that a company cared so much about the products they made.
Although you often hear about the complaints, and rarely about the praises, I had read other people on the forum telling about how Marineland had responded to their questions and resolved their issues.
After installing my Eclipse 3, everything was great, sufficient light for my plants to grow, bright enough to see my fish swimming all over the place, but a week later, only one of the two lamps was lit. I thought maybe the lamp was burnt, but when I wiggled it, it would light again, but as soon as I let go, it would go dark again. I then switched the lamps, but it didn't solve the problem, the lamp was fine, the lamp holder was the issue.
After going with half the lights for a couple of weeks, I decided to contact Marineland Customer Service, after all, my unit was new and under warranty.
I spoke to Crystal, she was very nice and said she would send me a replacement as soon as I sent her a copy of my receipt. She didn't make me jump through hoops and ask me a dozen questions like others do before they can qualify you for a replacement, and I didn't have to pay a penny either.
Crystal then sent me an e-mail telling me I would receive a replacement light unit within 5 - 7 business days.
Today, as promised, I received my new replacement light unit, and she even included two new lamps even though mine were still fine. My tank looks awesome again.
In my experience, Marineland's Customer Service is excellent, 5 stars to Crystal, I will continue to buy their products and I know they will take care of my issues should I ever have one.
