Is that a lake in the landscape pict? Do you recall the name of it?

The lake is the Forggensee.

We were mainly in the Dusseldorf - Cologne area, but we did head south for a few days in Bavaria.

The first picture is one of the towers of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, next to it is Neuschwansteien.

Then the landscape picture, and my buddy's and me.

The castle at the bottom is the Marksburg.

We just got back on the 26th.

It was the first time my wife has been home in 10 years, and she had fun showing me her home town ( Mettman ).

It was a wonderful trip, we are planning to go back in May.

Excellent photos! I lived in Germany (Spangdahlem Air Base) for years. It was an amazing experience. Your pictures look like postcards, but really that's just how beautiful the country is. We're moving to West Germany in a few years for my teaching program and I can't wait!

Lovely area to be sure.
Your wife's history there added alot to the experience, I would imagine.
So that is what late summer is like in that region of the world.
It will be interesting to see what spring is like. Be sure to share those photos when you return.

very nice.. i was in dusseldorf my self once and also went to dinklesbuhl and heildelburg...such a beautiful country.

WOW. Love the pics. My dad was in the Air Force and I was born in Berlin. I have some photos of when my parents were there but I was too young to remember it since we came home before I was even a year old. I love to see recent pics and would love to be able to go there one day myself.
