| Thanks everybody
There is a grossly ugly, rusted metal pole cemented into the corner of my front yard. It will be almost an impossibility to remove it so I got disgusted and covered it with Morning Glories, Mandevila Vine and humming bird feeders LOL. It's covered more now than it was hahaha
As I was taking those a Dragon Fly stopped by

| AWESOME camo!! do you do anything special for the humming birds or just have the nectar out there? |

| I buy the mix powder mix with water and change it every two days. The nectar will ruin in this heat if not changed often. Other than that just fill it and hang

Shawnie- sometimes it takes them a bit to figure out you have hung food out for them. They especially need it right now while its so hot and flowers are wilting. Hang in there.
Slug- thanks That was a pure accident. He was moving from one feeder port to another so fast most of the pics were just blurs.
Heres what we found on the tire this morning when we went out. Is it a chameleon? Any ideas ? |

| You can also make your own hummingbird nectar by boiling 4 parts water with one part sugar. ( boiling will sterilize anything in the water). Cool it and store extra in the fridge...a lot cheaper than the nectar mixes. No need to add the red coloring and some people advise against it. |

The mix isn't really expensive so I took the easy way out

| When I came in from work today my husband showed me a Moth that had been on the carport ceiling last night when he came in from work.
It was huge! tip to tip on wing span was from my wrist to the end of my middle finger (8 inches). We thought it was dead but when I touched it it spread a second set of rear wings that looked like they had eyes on them. Altogether a beautiful surprise
Also my moon flowers are blooming. They start opening when it gets dusk and are gone by dawn.
1) Antheraea polyphemus moth (as we first saw it)
2) Antheraea polyphemus Moth after spreading wings
3) Eyes
4) Moon Flower

| Beautiful pictures. I have seen more butterflies around this year than in a long time, I love them.
We had a giant moth on the porch the other day it was bigger than my hands put together, and lime green colored, I wish I had taken a picture of it.
The hummingbirds around here are such pigs they fly around mad if the feeders are empty, so beautiful to watch. |

| Thanks. Don't the hummingbirds make a funny sound when the feeders are empty? LOL
I was shocked to see how big that Moth was.
