Some of my Gallery (56k warning)

I love taking pictures. Probably my second favorite hobby behind fishkeeping (My new computer, and old computer have 500GB HDs specifically for my pictures). I also love sharing all of my photos with everyone, so i wanted to post some of my gallery.

Some are photoshopped to give that artistic touch and some have old copyrights, don't worry about those hehe i havn't found time to fix them yet. Some have color and B&W versions. I have tons more for each series, i'll post more when i find them!

Thanks! Sure. I could probably find you one without the copyright if you'd like. I'd have to dig for it. Just let me know.

Matt your pics are wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing them with us. My dad is a professional photographer and a high school photography teacher, so I love and appreciate photographs so much. I started going in the darkroom with my dad when I was like five years old. Too bad I didn't inherit any of his photography skill, lol.

Amazing. If you're not a professional photographer, you should be, because you're great at it. Thanks for sharing those great pics.

My dad was on the verge of working for National Geographic right before i was born, he chose a different direction so i credit him for passing on his love for photography and some of his old gear. He helped me spark the interest by giving me my Canon Digital Rebel.

very nice pictures.

What kind of lenses do you have?

Usually i just use the stock lens that came with the Canon Rebel (18-55mm i think?). Also have a small macro screw on adapter. The other lens i use is a 18-200mm macro. I'd get more sophisticated but i spend all my money on fish so i can't get a great lens lol. Gotta make due with what you have i guess!

Thanks.

cool.

I have a 18-55 on my Rebel XTi. My next upgrade will be a 28-135mm IS that comes with the 40D or the new XSi (drools). What kind of macro adapter you have? We likely have the same lens and I've considered a separate macro lens to add to my bag.

If your ever wanting to rent a lens, look at www.lensrental.com You can get all the way up to the new 800mm prime lens and they have equipment too if your needing that.

If you want to put money on a good macro lens the Canon 100mm macro is....jaw dropping good. Its definitely the next lens i buy. The 60mm macro is nice too.

I have just a macro ring from a wide angle lens. It just screws off the back of the wide angle and onto the threads of the 18-55mm lens.

"Bower High Res Pro Digital Lens with Macro. 0.5x AF pro wide angle" is what the whole kit is. I believe i've found it as low as $40. Not going to break the bank and a definite upgrade for macro then what the stock lens can do.
