1 subject, 5 variations, got a fav?

I took a trip to the beach yesterday, seen this wee boat
and decided to try a few different angles on it,
which do you think works best? I'm leaning toward
the B&W pic myself I think.

Thanks for any feedback.

I agree, pic # 2 but for a different reason....big surprise huh? lol

I like the thickness and angle of the plant in the foreground in relationship to the boat in the background.

yeps I love it!!! I get yelled at alot because I turn my grandbabies pics to b n w and my girls say "mom we are in the 2000 era..there is color now"!! LOL

now side by side, the b n w's have more depth and make you look closer to each detail...at least IMO

lol. See I'm always designated photographer whenever my friends & I do anything together - and they always get so mad when I turn them b&w. I think it gives it a more classic look than color. Color has too many distractions.

I like the extra B&W you included. I wish i had an eye for photos, i can never get them to capture the moment in the right way... you have a knack for it

B&W for sure. 3 & 4 following close behind. The only reason i enjoy 3 & 4 is you can distinctively see the water and know its high and dry.

Monochrome removes the focus away from what is the most colourful object, and makes you see what is pleasing to the eye about the composition of the photo before anything else.
In the first set, I think I like #2 best... but I like it even better in B&W.

Great photos!
