Freaky spider

Here is a picture of the spider that lives on the clothes line .
She comes out every night to remake her web.

That's really neat.
Is she really white with pink/red highlights?

Awesome photo! She almost looks like an albino black widow spider (if they have such a thing)

Its more a dusty/dirty grey colour , I think the flash made it look very light. The pink/red bits are more a reddy brown too. I went to take a photo in daylight but she was not in her usual hiding spot , but she is back out again tonight.

G'day seedy,
lot of the gray/light brown spiders we have in the land of OZ, will show reds and pinks legs when they move.. and when they rest you just see the gray.
The one spider I love the most is the Australian Christmas Spider

Now that's a weird spider.

Of course, then you've got the horribly poisonous one that Steve Irwin was terrified of in the Crocodile Hunter movie (the only time I've ever seen the man show fear on camera)

The White Tail spider is the one that I would rather not meet.
Go into any shed in Australia and most likely you could find Red back's
Here's a link

After looking at the spider site , I think she might be a type of garden orb spider.
Those christmas spiders are pretty cool , I think I've seen them near Echuca on the Murray River , but I never really looked close enough to be sure.
Lots of nastys here ....lol
Thanks for all the responses.

If a bird eating spider lived on the clothes line....
I'd be wearing dirty clothes.

Yeah...I think your right Speedy, looks like a Garden Orb Weaver, we have them here in the bush in Vic. As a matter of fact one builds its web every night between the garage and the carport. There is also a Golden Orb Weaver.
