    Hey I new here but have african cichlids for many years working at an african cichlid fish farm. I am doing the DIY grotto cave and was confussed on the last part you said you atched it to the tank using zip ties and tape? I was going to try using zip ties into the black plastic boarder at the top of my tank but not sure if that will ensure it to stay flush against the glass. anyway if you can just clear this up for me i would really appreciate it thanks june

    i just bought a ton of rocks yesterday flat slate stuff wasnt bad so i can add some height
    besdies the tall palnt i have
    i dont hve a kit so better get one ..more money i dont have lol

    and now after more readign i think i need another filter too

    i am pretty new to cichlids and saw your post on driftwood...i put a bit on my tank and dont want it out either as it adds some variety...so far i havent even tested pH and fish doing ok i think but still new..i know our water is higher in ph and hope the driftwood deoest wreck it....i will follow your stuff and hope all goes well..ihave a 125 tank so maybe the driftwood wont make huge diff..i hope but still setting up tank and learning but so far no dead fish

    I do but they are pretty dated. Hopefully I will get some more up soon. Sorry it took so long to get back I have been pretty busy with water changes due to an ICH prob. All is looking up though. How is the tank coming?
