    Nothing really helps with ammonia other than daily water changes until the tank is cycled...I wish there was a quick fix but there isnt...once the tank cycles though, you shouldnt have all the issues you are having now

    Yup you are 100% right i went nuts last night and vacumed the gravel then wiggled the gravel around and what they were was old peas that the JD's took in their mouths then went to thier corners and dropped em and forgot about em lol will live plates help with my amonia issue?

    Hi camacho! Sounds like left over food that has decayed....that happens when pellets/food isnt eaten ....

    idk if you can help me out i did a 30% water change last night and i sucked up something white n fluffy on the gravel kinda looked like the ends of a Q-TIP do you have any idea what that could be? I picked up like 2 of these things

    Gm camacho! yes using established media will help a ton but you will need the 30% changes every day...the media will speed up the cycle allot tho

    thanks also my buddy has the same filter set up as me can i take one of his filters since his is already established and put into mine that not so much established will taht help and is it 30% daily?

    Hi camacho...id up the changes to 30% and just keep up until your ammonia and nitrites are 0..could take a few weeks..its a pain in the butt I know but worth it to save the fish and get the tank cycled...took me 9 weeks with daily 50% water changes in my 75g tank..but I had huge oscars ...good luck !

    hey what goin on just a quick question for yea and maybe you will know the answer. i checked my tank last night and i got .25-.50 of ammonia 0 nitrites and 10 nirtates is this normal by any means cause its been like this for about 2 weeks now and ive been doing 10% water changes every day to try n get rid of the amonia it has gone down a little bit any ideas
