    I can't post on your betta thread, so I guess I'll put it here. Two gallons is plenty of room for a betta. I'm sure you could put a few other fish in the tank as well. I don't have a betta, so make sure you do your research before you take my advise as fact. I am fairly sure that bettas don't need a filter, but they do need live plants. They may need a heater if it gets too cold for them. But then again, you live in Texas...........You might not need one. Just look it up on the internet. Having your fish be too hot is probably just as bad as having them to cold. You can get any type of betta you want as long as you only get one. If you get more than one, they will kill each other, even if it is a male and a female. They only get along when they breed. There are some beautiful color and fin varieties. Choose the one you like best. I am 15 and thinking of getting one myself. The one you have as your avatar is gorgeous!!!
