Hi Kate, glad to hear you liked the cloth background w/velcro idea. I think it works out very nicely and its easy to change when you want. The velcro tape is amazing IMO! No more sewing! lol...
My 125 is done.. all set up, cycled and with fish. I love it. Have a great day! ~ kate

That's awesome! I wanna go to puffer heaven when I die
Man, I wish I would've known about that store before we went to california in December, lol. Now it'll probably be forever until I go again. Oh well.

gm kate!!! all my tanks have fake plants and the cons do tear them up...mainly when in breeding mode as they borrow caves in the subtrate...not sure if just the one would do it tho....and I agree trying to catch her would probably be worse than what she would do with the plants LOL

No way! Well, they're out of stock anyways... That's weird that they don't ship to you. I will also keep looking for more puffer suppliers, for your benefit and mine. Unfortunately aquariumfish.net has a great variety, but they are a horrible place that I would never order from. So the search is ongoing....
I hope you find some soon

I really think that too. The inbreeding combined with keeping them in those nasty cups for who knows how long is just bad news.

Yeah, it was kinda sad. But I lose bettas alot it seems... I've lost 4 of them since I started keeping fish less than a year ago... Pretty much all my other fish do great, but the bettas just don't last for some reason...
I had a girl that would always always always jump the divider and attack the other fish. I moved her to her own tank, but then she jumped out of that tank She was too aggressive for her own good, poor thing.

Thanks! I got it from a song actually. I thought it fit well, since 'ina' usually means small, and she's tiny

That poor betta wasn't too bright... he was stunning though. Mustard gas rosetail, blue and shimmery green, white butterfly pattern... Poor guy. Well it seems that he jumped onto the mean boy's side, where he had a lesson taught to him a bit too well...

Yep, her name is Ambellina She's an absolute doll. She's very shy and she likes to sleep on her java fern, it's so cute.
Yeah I recently gave away one of my bettas to someone from my local fish forum, two is more than enough, and this guy was MEAN! He killed one of my other bettas And bettas are so... fragile. They get sick so often it's ridiculous. And I have more talent and luck with my puffers. I do love my little boy Winter though, he's got a hold on my heartstrings. He is a major prissy drama king though He pouts for days if I move anything in his tank. Oh dear.

They seem to like their big tank alot, and I love that they have so much space!
That's too bad about the bettas. They are beautiful and fun, but also lots of stress and drama, lol. I am down to 2 bettas myself, and I'm not getting any more. Planted community tanks are stunning, and from what I've seen of your tanks, yours are probably gorgeous!
I do have some pics... let's see.... easiest place to probably see them is in the thread about her.... http://www.fishlore.com/fishforum/pu...bellina-4.html
They're not very good pics, but she's so teensy and so fast it's hard to get any at all!
