Hi ISDA89 - I'd go with any fish that would be compatible with the eventual discus you plan on getting... Rummy nose tetras, cardinal tetras, corydoras, etc. Don't get anything you'll have to get rid of later on when you eventually get those discus.

Hi Mike and everybody! Just had a 54 Gallon corner tank for freshwater community fishes. I see that Mike has a 55 gallon tank. Do you have any suggestions what other fishes I can mix and match as there are lots of choices out there? I'm planning of eventually putting in 2 big discus.
