My FX5 has been flawless since I've had it. I took the time to put it together very carefully and not over pack the trays with the filter pads or anything else. I have the foam blocks on the outside, and then ceramic rings in the trays. My water quality is point on, and the water is clear as crystal. Hope this helps

I hope you get this. how is your FX5 filter working? im thinking of getting one for my 125 gallon but i heard it has some problems..
