    It's really good that you're doing your research, I've heard so many disaster stories of people jumping into the hobby not knowing anything! What sort of tank do you want? -fish, plants etc?

    thanks to everyone for their help with my last post ,cant help to love this site i going away for 2 days tomorrow i going to miss fishlore wish i had a laptop ,but i going to a fish shop ,i just be looking for now but soon i may have a tank yipee cant wait ,i been collecting driftwood and rocks ,went bush yesterday found another piece of rock i had to have ,much to my husband amusement as he said not often u see a woman with a blue bucket and a great big piece of wood trying to walk in the middle of the bush he was laughing lol i dont care hey just had to have it ,as i may forget were in was carryed it a least a mile but i got my wood i think it the best piece i have (i think i say that about every piece )its 2 foot long with root at base and a great home (cave )in the middle 3 holes going in and out ,i cant wait to see it in the water ,to clean i going to soak it in a plastic wheelbrowa the hose it ,the pressure wash it ,then hit it with my steam cleaner then soak again when i get back from canberra ,all my wood is old an sunbleached ,but this peice is not water logged but it soon will be ,i think i buy a master test kit to check pH levels on all my wood/rock thats soaking ,have at the 8 big buckets ,be interesting to see hey what changes ,i best go to work as i dont think "i was busy on fishlore will cut it with my boss lol if i late catch ya later (as soon as i get home cuppa and fishlore lol ):;

    I have never heard of anLFS changing ALL the water every week before.They also don't worry about cycling issues.They go through thousands of fish every month,and have large filtration units,so replacing the water isn't necessary and they know that. I am not saying they're lying,but I doubt that's what they actually do.The sales people are supposed to sound knowledgeable,but seldom are and the things that come out of their mouth is normall gibberish anyway.

    everyone and merry xmas ,i from leeton nsw australia ,i joined 10/12/08 and i really enjoy fishlore .com .i learning alot i hoping in the new year to buy a large tank called a jinalong rrha 1200 it 120cm (l)44.6(w)80(h) plus cabinet ,why so big ?i like to do a aquarscape tank for angles,i was wondering if anyone on the site has heard of this brand of tank ? as i am a big fan of "takashi amano"from japan ,if u havent seen his tanks worth a look. also does anyone know of any other brands of high tanks that are in australia ?
