Thanks Ilove! I knew about their deformities, but i havent quite researched them well enough. I dont know yet, but if i could help one out (our fish owners here are horrible) i would take the best care i could of her.

the cycle is going great.. and eveything tested ok. so i put the 2 dragon fish in there.. i think they really like it. they eat tons and are always hanging out in the cave. i have to get a differnt cave though. its made out of rock and i think they may scratch them selves on it. i didnt realize how silky smooth they are. the guy at walmart dropped him as he was putting him in the bag.. he looked at me like "o.. what do i do.." i said move a side.. i wet my hands first with the tank water and quickly picked him up with my hands. i felt so bad for him he was doing spirals in the bag with his mouth open so i bagged the other dragon fish myself.. hes good now though. they were fine in the tank together at walmart.. but i guess with a new set up they are setting their "boundries" they keep scuffling with each other.. should i seperate them? sometimes they are laying with each other. then other times they are battling over the cave. i put another cave (an upside down castle at the moment). they both eat the shrimp pellets and the dried bloodworms. i make sure both of them eat before i stop staring at them when i feed them =) can i use the same filter that i have for a brackerish tank?

hi iloveengl, guess what!! i found some dragon gobies at my local walmart of all places... .. i used to work at a walmart taking care of their fish tanks for 7 years. so from a commercial stand point i can run that set up blind folded( my parrot fish actually laid eggs allllll the time in that retail set up). i know its different then the home fish tank because the retail set ups have a drain underneath so its constantly pushing in fresh water versus filtering the same water over and over. i read about the nitrogen cycle and it makes more sense then some of the other gibberish i i read on line or in books. i always knew what to do while setting up a new tank but never new why lol, now i do.. now i do =) i have a few questions for you if you dont mind since your dragon goby is so healthy and you clearly know what your doing with them. when i set up the tank i used new filter media, and i used new gravel. its really really really fine gravel.. it looks like sand.. this should be ok right? and if it is ok for them how do i clean it.. you cant siphon it like normal gravel can you? i also added the stress zyme and tap water conditoner.. ( i used to have well water.. i dont like city tap water) i let the fist tank run since Valcor died. i took him out as soon as i seen him belly up . i really have to get a test kit. i have one.. but its really really really old.. time to upgrade. since the gobies are at wm and wm associates dont add salt to the water (its aquarium salt anyway..not the marine salt...they are supposed to but most stores dont) they should be ok to go in my tank (if it tests ok) since i havent added salt either right? they look acutally much much much better then the ones i tried to rescue. i just really fell in love with the gobies and would like to do right by them the second time around so forgive me for all the questionsi guess alot of my questions rest on weather or not my tank comes back ok after the tests are done. thanks so much and take care FireFly

Cool! Well, I found another one on my local online store and they have two types of moss balls. One is the floating moss ball and the other is the coconut moss ball. ??
