The tetras are fine together, but you are WAY overstocked!!! The 14 tetras are 1.5" each -- 14 x 1.5 = 21 gallons: in other words, you need to have the tetras in AT LEAST a 20 gallon tank.
The betta needs to get in his own tank ASAP: tetras are fin-nippers and if they don't eat all your betta's fins and kill him, the betta is likely to get territorial and kill the tetras. There will be a lot of violence in that tank, especially since they are so cramped!!
Please please get your betta boy in his own tank RIGHT AWAY!!

I keep my betta tanks well-filtered and aerated, and because of all the movement that creates at the surface, there really is not a way for them to make bubble nests. They don't seem to mind at all, as they are happy, healthy fish-- I have no intention of ever breeding any of them, and their water quality is far more important to me than their bubble nests. -_- So no, they do not make them (though David Bowie used to make HUGE ones in his QT tank).

It's no problem. So glad you decided not to breed them. They are really fantastic little creatures and I can understand the temptation, but I think you will find it very rewarding and wonderful just to have a couple of them your life. I sure do!

Right now I have 3 bettas. Diablo is a Rosetail Butterfly (Dark Mauve with white edging); Ariel is a Halfmoon (solid white); and Qwin is a Doubletail Crowntail (Dark Orange) I cannot send pictures by this method of talking but if I had your e-mail I would send you pictures of them. If you do not want to let me have your e-mail I will try to put them in a post and you can check the betta board for them. They are older pictures as my camera is not functioning well right now but I have their demos when I purchased them. Ariel was going to be Proteus so the picture is labeled with that name but it is Ariel now. Thank you and I wish you the best with your betta. When you get more posts then you can PM people. Have a great day!

He will make another if he wants to but you have to do the water change when it is time to do it so if it has to be disturbed he will appreciate the clean water more than you know. Just change about half of the water, please don't do 100% changes as they are hard on them. He likes you and will understand if his nest is disturbed. If he wants one he will make another one, if he doesn't then he will wait a while. It will be okay I promise. He is just giving it to you as a present so go ahead and give him some clean water he will like it. It is okay.

They make bubblenests for many reasons MOST of which mean nothing other than that they are happy to be where they are. Just be happy for him. Many bettas do not ever make one but many males make them that never breed. They do not always breed when they do this. It is just a sign they like the way they are living. Don't do a thing with him. He is a happy little guy but it does not mean he is ready to breed. Good luck and enjoy your little guy. I think you made a good choice. Rose
