Tank is pretty much finished just need some plants and other fish. picked up a light on ebay that suits my needs here is a link for the light if your interested 48" T5HO T5 aquarium light Cichlid T-5 Reef Lighting on e bay wasnt sure if the link worked or not didnt see it light up blue lol have pictures listed under upgrade. Larry for the information you provided me with. It was very informative and direct. One other thing . From my last post using t8's do you think it can cause a problem with heat build up? If you look at my profile and pictures you can see the inside of my canopy.

As i'm sure you know about the T's t3's t5's t8's etc.in lighting what t fluorescent lamps do you prefer? And the on t what has been your experience on finding the lights when they need to be replaced My canopy sits about 8 inches off of the water the tank itself is another 2 ft give or take some. Would you happen also to know about what type of heat do these lights give off. I will be mounting them right to the undercarriage of the canopy which so happens to be 3/4 5 ply. If you look at my profile you can see the tank with top setup.

Could use some help on proper lighting. I have a 125 gallon tank. I will have plants trying to duplicate the Amazon river. Setup for plants are ae follows heating wire, sand, clay gravel, with a co2 system. The tank hasn't cycled no water as of yet. Would like to have everything set up correctly before water is added. Filtering systen filstar3 350 magnum. Looking into a bigger pump the fuval5. Also have pictures on profile.
