Morning Brenda, just getting my morning chores done and I'm almost halfway through! Making good time today, LOL!!! We don't get any wild guppies around here. We're right here in the middle of the city so the closest thing to a creek we've got around here is a dried up drainage ditch. Anything that would come out of that would be so toxic it'd have 3 heads 17 eyes and glow in the dark. Sounds great for a kids science experiment, LOL!!! Speaking of that, I've got to help my son get busy for his science fair. We have all Christmas break to come up with something cool for the science fair the middle of January. Trying to think of something that has to do with fishkeeping, but no live animals are to be used. Maybe something on the nitrogen cycle? Any ideas?

Afternoon Brenda! Just sat down to take a minute to read on the machine and find out what I've been missing in the world...found out it ain't been much. I know what you mean about the Killies...well, expensive fish in general. I don't mind so much popping $30 on an unusual fish that I am fairly certain I can keep alive for a while, but something that I know I'm gonna lose in a year just seems to lose it's pretty for me, especially since I have whole tanks that cost less than 30 bucks stock and all! LOL!!! So, you surviving the ice age ok? I don't like the cold at all, and am considering hibernation as a lifestyle alternative!

Hey Brenda, just got your post. Been a busy day at church. I didn't get a double message from you so I guess whatever the problem was corrected itself. I feel bad, cause here I was bragging yesturday how things hardly ever get out of hand on the board just to come home and get on the machine this evening and see a problem before the mods locked it! Shoulda kept my yap shut or my fingers still, guess I jinxed it. Got a 30sec tidbit of fun news...just picked up last night 3 new long-finned red minor tetras for the 30 gal and a upside down catfish for my son's 29. Gonna go back and get 2 more catfish in a few days, I misread my information and didn't realize they liked friends of their own kind with them. He's having a ball watching that catfish!!!!

Morning Cat! Boy, am I a lazy old bat today. Saturday house cleaning day and water change day. Hate the house cleaning part, but love the tank cleaning part! Go figure!!! I wanted to get into this hobby since I was 11 years old. Thirty years later I'm finally in and dragging my hubby and kids with me, LOL!!! The computer still confuses me, and I tripped on the site so totally by accident. There are young people and older people on here, and so far I haven't seen much in the way of folks being mean, rude or insulting to each other...once in a great while something will be said that goes awray, but the mods take care of it quickly and with dignity. I like that a lot, and let me son on here to read and study what to do with his tank. He's 11 and said he wanted to keep fish like Momma. We got him started last summer with a $3 garage sale steal because I'd be durned if he waited 30 years to do it like I did, LOL!!! Anyway, good to hear from you...I gotta quit my procrastination and get my rear in gear to get all my stuff done today, I still gotta make pies for the church Christmas potluck tomorrow! No rest for the wicked, LOL!!!
