That's great that everyone is well. I haven't been on any of the forums that I'm a member of much lately. I get that way sometimes. I'm on a lot then I take a bit of a break.

My little guppies are doing great. They love their larger digs and they especially love to mate with each other... or at least, try to. lol As for Jake, I'll be tearing down his home soon so I can re-set it up again. I'm just not pleased with the soil that's in there. I did find a blood worm swimming around in his home yesterday. It kind of shocked me because I don't have any live blood worms as food for him. Midge flies must like laying eggs in his home.

It's been nice talking to you again. Btw, you can call me Mandy if you wish.

Good morning, Kate. I understand where you're coming from. I had tried to soften my water but I just finally gave up because my water is so hard. Cardinal tetras are a fish I would love to have but I think they prefer softer water. I guess I can do the same thing as you and watch them when I'm at the LFS.

g'morning Red Rose. I never like to play around with the PH that I have. That is why I usually only get SA fish that like that lower PH. It does keep me from keeping more types of fish, but I think in the long run its better for the fish if I just keep it where its at, and get fish that like the lower PH that I have. Thanks for the tip tho! :-)

I think you could still keep them. Making water harder is easy. Just add some seashells in the tank and just sit back and let the GH, KH and pH increase. It's softening water that's a headache!

Oh.. my water is very soft and acidic, the PH is usually always around 6.4. So that leaves guppies out. Well, I can always enjoy everyone else's photos, and watch them swim around when Im at the LFS. lol...

I think it would be fun to know how to make those. I have one in my bedroom window but it was given to me as a Christmas gift. Yeah, they can be a bit bratty but I still love them! They are actually very easy to keep and they actually prefer medium to hard water. Our hard water is actually useful for something. lol

Thank you Red Rose. :-) Dreamcatchers are not so hard, once you know how, its the wrapping the feathers in cotton thread that takes time. I have heard that guppies can be lil brats sometimes lol.. but they sure are pretty! Ive never kept them, but have been tempted from time to time.

Thanks, Capekate! My guppies may look cute but don't be fooled by that. They are very bold. They actually lunge at my hand when I have to trim up plants!

I just looked through your albums and I have to say that I'm quite fond of your babies. It's so nice to see bettas in larger tanks instead of tiny, cramped ones that they can barely move in. I also like the dreamcatcher you made. They look like they would be difficult to make.
