I wouldn't put them in with your EBJD yet if thats what you are talking about. He might enjoy a 21 dollar snack haha. If you supplement them with algae wafers then they should be alright. Also they LOVE cucumbers and succhini. That is all that I feed them.
The water sprite with the larger leaves can be rooted but I float all of mind. The root system develops better when floated and it provides good cover for small fish and fry.
The Thinner leaved, tall water sprite should be rooted. You can float it but I dont reccommend doing so.
But if you get a few slices of cucumber or zuchinni (sp?) ( no more than 2 at a time) and rubberband it to a rock or a piece of
driftwood and leave it in the tank. They will eat that. Take it out once they eat it all or if it has been more than a week and it is still uneaten replace it with new ones.
